Probably a richer experience for people with an academic bent or love of one or more of the countries but it is really worth it. Questions were welcomed but the brief discriptions covered a lot of ground. The detail, the beauty, the history, the authenticity all shone on us all. I was delightfully surprised (and not ready) for the openness to requests for each one. I believe the tour is usually if not always comprised by a selection of 13 of the 31 rooms. The grand hall makes you feel like you are in a 13th c cathedral which is impressive in itself.
I love the fact that they are still used as classrooms and you can actually choose to take a class based on location.
We had a student who had clearly put in a few years as a guide but he may have lost in freshness he more than compensated with by his knowledge and appreciation. You cannot see them without a tour, so if you want to see them book a tour!!! We lucked into one as I had misunderstood the instructions. I love that the building exists, I love the idea of the nationality rooms and I love the way they are both used and displayed.
